Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA presents an exciting multi media reimagining of the GLAAD Award Winning play by Wendy Graf about a gay Muslim struggling to reconcile her faith and her sexuality.

Forced to choose between her identity, her family, and her precious faith, there’s no word to describe Hanna Jokhoe in her native Guyanese dialect.

NO WORD IN GUYANESE FOR ME is directed by Susie Tanner and features an expanded cast of 10 actors and dancers which combines professionals with highly trained students from LA County High School for the Arts (LACHSA). This new, very special version opens Sept 13 in honor of 9/11 and takes place at the Speakeasy/Atwater Village.

Two performances only: Sat, 9/13 at 4:00 & Sun, 9/14 at 7:00. Pay What You Can but reservations are suggested. The theater is quite small and seating is limited. To reserve and for more info please contact Susie at s.f.tanner47@gmail.com

Ensemble Studio Theatre/Los Angeles proudly presents the World Premiere production of LAND LINE.

When a health crisis forces Terry to move back into his parents’ basement, his best friend John supports him with laughter, sympathy, bravado, and finally, honesty.

Featuring Katherine Cortez, John Dennis Johnston, Peter Larney, and Peter James Smith

Written by Stephen Dierkes

Directed by William Charlton

"This script touches on many fascinating elements of human behavior, and the joy of the play is watching these surprises come up….
Cortez and Johnston root the play in warm comfort, an instantly recognizable American Gothic middle-aged marriage….
Moving and nuanced…”

"This is some of the finest acting you will see in Los Angeles. Each actor is in tune with the other as the characters manage their lives on stage. The actors execute simply and those moments collectively are heartbreaking as they are worked to perfection."
